Hole Arena is a highly engaging survival game released by ozgames.io. It clearly takes inspiration from Hole.io, but it adds its own twist with a faster pace and a much more competitive vibe. You control a black hole that starts tiny, and your only job is simple: swallow everything you can. At first, you’re just picking up small stuff, but before you know it, you’re consuming entire streets and buildings, and it honestly feels pretty satisfying watching your hole grow bigger and stronger.

What really keeps me coming back is the real-time competition. It quickly becomes hectic because everyone in the arena is attempting to accomplish the same thing. You have to make snap judgments all the time: should you take a chance and pursue larger players, or should you stay cautious and continue consuming lesser items? I’ve had moments where I got too confident and got swallowed up, which is frustrating, but also part of what makes the game exciting.
At the beginning, your hole is tiny—I mean, really tiny. You can only swallow things like cones, street signs, or pedestrians. It feels slow at first, but that’s part of the build-up.
You move around the map, grabbing anything smaller than you. The more you eat, the faster you grow, and there’s this constant sense of progression that keeps you moving.
As you get bigger, the game really opens up. Suddenly, cars, trees, and even buildings become fair game. That’s when it starts to feel powerful—and honestly, a bit addictive.
You’re not alone—other players are trying to grow too.
Chase smaller players to eliminate them and grow faster
Matches are usually timed. Your goal is to become the biggest hole before time runs out or be the last one standing.
Move your black hole using your mouse, joystick, or touch controls (depending on your device).
The hole follows your movement—no complicated buttons needed.
Stay safe early game: Focus on small objects and avoid big players.
Keep moving because you become an easy target when you stand stationary.
Make good use of the map: denser areas indicate faster growth.
Be aggressive in the late game by pursuing smaller players once you're large.
